Description
Performance and Accuracy
The Staccato XL is designed for competition-level performance, making it one of the flattest shooting and most accurate pistols in the Staccato lineup. Its 5.4-inch bull barrel provides excellent accuracy, especially at longer distances. Shooters report being able to consistently hit targets at 15-20 yards with ease, and even accurately engage targets at 50 yards.
Recoil Management
Despite its size, the XL is remarkably balanced and features Staccato’s FlaTec system for recoil mitigation. This results in minimal muzzle rise and quick cycling, allowing for fast and accurate follow-up shots. The gun’s weight and design help absorb recoil, making it feel like it’s anticipating the shooter’s next move.
Ergonomics and Customization
The XL features a hybrid frame with a polymer grip that has aggressive texturing for a secure hold. It comes with adjustable sights and is optics-ready, allowing for easy customization. The gun also sports front and rear cocking serrations and a Picatinny rail for mounting accessories.
Trigger
One of the standout features is the XL’s trigger. It has a crisp, clean single-action pull with a weight of just 2.5 pounds. This light, precise trigger contributes significantly to the gun’s accuracy and shootability.
Capacity and Reliability
The Staccato XL comes with 17 or 20-round magazines, providing ample capacity. It’s known for its reliability, with users reporting hundreds of rounds fired without malfunctions.
Competition Ready
The XL is designed to meet weight limits for various competitive shooting disciplines like USPSA, Steel Challenge, and IDPA. Its long sight radius and overall design make it particularly well-suited for competitive shooting.
